MOTION
I began to work on this cycle of paintings in 2015, using Google Streetview as its primary base and unfailing cache, through which I explore the notion of place, non-place, and transition, as mediated through technology.
The paintings of the first series are anonymous landscapes, in terms of lacking a specified location; they engage the viewer with a moving, ephemeral phase of a vision.
